Powerless was Vicky's first YA thriller about how the effects of grooming tore a family apart.  You can find Vicky regularly supporting other indie authors on Twitter, reviewing and sharing her thoughts on books and the writing process.  She has attended careers events as a teacher/author and even been invited to speak to year groups about the process of writing a gritty thriller centred around teenage girls.

In 2023 she published her second book, Abandoned, another YA thriller.  More recently, in December 2024, Vicky became an Amazon best-seller overnight and went viral.  You can read the full story here on The Guardian's website but she was also featured on The BBC, Sky News, and across local papers.
